Polcoin is the first Polish cryptocurrency. It was launched on January 19, 2014, as a clone of Bitcoin (both run on the SHA256 algorithm), but now it is a full-fledged and self-sufficient cryptocoin.
The Polcoin team is comprised of exclusively Polish managers and developers that maintain the stability of the network of nodes. They believe that since the Polish Złoty (PLN) can live in the shadow of the Euro (EUR), then Polcoin could dwell in the shadow of Bitcoin in a similar fashion.
Polcoin's creators have one simple goal: they want to set the Polish people free from national and world banks. And some companies in Poland share this principle as they have already started accepting payments in PLC.
With Polcoin, users can make quick and free-of-charge payments all over the world.
Algorithm: SHA256. Block Time: 60 second (dynamic). Maximum number of existing Coins: 210.000.000. No premine.
