TMCoin

TMCoin is a Chinese-based cryptocurrency. TMC uses the Proof-of-Stake protocol which generates coins through PoS blocks. Proof of Stake currencies can be several thousand times more cost effective.

The initial 3 million coins were generated by the first block. Coins can’t be mined through the Proof-of-Work protocol.

TMCoin has a 5% annual interest rate. TMCoin’s block time is 30 seconds which is twice as fast as Bitcoin’s and 5 times slower than FedoraCoin’s. TMCoin retargets the difficulty at each block creation. The system requires 4 confirmations before a TMCoin transaction is considered to have been completed. 50 minted block confirmations.

At the end of every three hour period, a new PoS block is generated.
