The coin's creators aim to sponsor major ideas and breakthroughs, starting with an installation of a Worldcoin community-sponsored clean water well in Kenya.
Worldcoin employs the swift and resource-efficient Scrypt mining algorithm, which enables transaction confirmation times of 60 seconds or less (a lot faster than Bitcoin’s four minutes, thanks to the SHA-256 mining protocol). Worldcoin's supporters claim that this is the reason why both consumers and merchants prefer Worldcoin.
The current reward for miners is 64 coins, but this figure is going to shrink by 1% each week. Worldcoin wallet is available on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
